Busy, Busy, Busy

What a great week we had! I hope you enjoyed all the videos and photos from the weeks activities in science.

This week coming is going to be filled with more fun and our very first Math test on Topic 1. We will finish up the lessons on Wednesday and review Thursday with, also, our very first completion of a math test on the computer.
We are going to end our Moon unit with a Shadow experiment to see if the changes in the earth's position during the day. Then we will read our National Geographic Kids Magazine and develop opinion writing pieces to see who believes which predator is the fiercest! So Cool!

I will post pics of the last experiment and let you know when we start the solar system, probably the following week, because we will be studying the planets, having a test on the planets, and Creating the SOLAR SYSTEM IN OUR CLASSROOM!!! (we are going to have to dress very messy because we are going to get very messy, complete with glow in the dark paint!)

We are also going to be doing some studies with leaves, soon, and start discussing the upcoming Presidential Election!!! There will be an actual classroom election too.
Please email me or call school if you would like to come in and read with your student or to the class.
Also, if your child is starving before lunch, please pack them a snack-crackers, fruit snacks, a cheese stick, something that will help out their bellies and not make them too hyper :)

Have a great week!
Mrs. Benson
