Busy Weeks!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Birthday RM Bacon School!
Yesterday we celebrated by estimating 85 steps, team building with 85 loops of a hula hoop, and 85 jumping jacks singing Happy Birthday Bacon School.

We also reviewed math facts and learned more about rounding and estimating. In Language Arts we learned new vocabulary words and used #hashtags to show we know what the words mean-synonyms and memory triggers.
Stay tuned for more pics and videos from the week.
In Language Arts we will be starting book bags! Our first book is Island of the Blue Dolphins.
Look for the book and bag this Monday.
Also our first squad of Student Leaders is starting Monday. I will list the squads Monday afternoon. Each squad will have 3-4 weeks of responsibility, if their grades or behavior outlined in the behavior contract fall they will not be able to participate in their responsibilities for the weeks.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Mr. Klaudi taught us CPR this week! We now know what to do in case of an emergency and wrote steps to follow in case we need to help someone!

Please volunteer for help with the Halloween Frolic and join the HSA!!! $5 for membership that helps out our 5th Grade Kiddos!
As always Mr.D and I appreciate everything you do to help and support us with the kiddos!!!

T'was the night before 5th Grade...

See you in the Morning! Report to Room 9 for Mrs.Benson, Room 10 for Mr.D  by 9:15, Short Assembly from 9:15-9:30,
 then Spanish with Maestra Mercado.
Please make sure to check out the rmbaconweekly.blogspot.com for the drastically new drop-off/pick-up routine.  It will make things a lot easier if we all read/watch how to go about the route before we actually physically do it...

Twas the Night Before School Started

 Author: Unknown

Twas the night before school started

when all through the town
the parents were cheering
it was a riotous sound.

By eight the kids were washed
and tucked into bed
when memories of homework
filled them with dread.

New pencils, new folders, new notebooks too,
new teachers, new friends, the anxiety grew.
The parents just giggled when they heard of this fright
and shouted upstairs-GO TO BED-IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!
